The Bingo Song HD app

Recently my family had the opportunity to try out The Bingo Song HD app. My kids love playing with electronics. It is amazing to me. I'm always looking for sun new apps to help encourage their learning, and also be fun. The Bingo Song HD app features various interactive features and a familiar tune that all kids can sing along with Bingo!  Children will be able to learn the lyrics quickly as they are simple and catchy.

The app features a cute farm setting with plenty of “touch and discover” surprises within the illustrations and pages.  In addition to singing, children can also play fun mini-games with farm animals cards. Once tapped you can hear the sounds of the animals.  The farm animal cards also contain fun facts and serve as a mini-trivia game about farm animals.  There is also a mode where kids can also make up their own fun animal stories and record them.

This app gives you the option to record your own voice so your child can hear you sing the song. My daughter who is 4 got a huge kick out of it, and also decided to record the baby. That was hilarious.

You can purchase The Bingo Song HD app for just $2.99. Available for download on the iTunes App Store and compatible with an iPad or iPad mini featuring iOS 4.0 or later.

The Importance Of Encouraging Your Child To Play Outside

The Importance Of Encouraging Your Child To Play Outside
The age of electronics is well and truly upon us and unfortunately it is leading to a loss of imagination and most importantly exercise in our children. With mobile phones, laptops, games consoles and TV’s children now have more entertainment at their fingertips than they could possibly want. This is unfortunately to the detriment of their desire to go outside and play with their friends. In the past, when we were younger we would come home from school and go out and play in the streets with our friends until it was doing dark, now children tend to come home, watch TV, eat and then go on the PS3 or XBOX for a few hours, it is not good for their development for this to happen so it is important to encourage them as much as possible to get some exercise and interact with other kids.
As parents we should try and encourage this by offering to take the kids to the playground or the park and play games with them. It is hard after coming home from work to get the energy to go and do this but it is important for the future development of your children, you don’t want your kids to grow up to be lazy, to lack imagination or to be unhealthy.
A great idea to encourage your child to get outside it to set up some play things in your back garden for them to use after school, this way you don’t have to spend your time taking them to the park but you know they are safe still. Playground equipment is quite cheap nowadays, you can get a trampoline, a little adventure playground, a slide or some outdoor toys like balls and hula hoops etc... If you don’t have a great deal of money to spend then try looking for used items in your local paper or on Craigslist, they are some great deals to be had.
