Momo Baby Soft Sole Shoes Review

I wanted to reach out to Momo Baby because of the soft sole baby shoes that they carry. As part of our Mama Love event that is happening June 12 - 24, Momo Baby sent me a gorgeous pair of soft sole baby shoes to try with. Aria is getting big, and will be walking very soon. She needed some shoes, of course.

These are the Momo Baby Soft Sole Baby Shoes in Lady Bug.  For the review, I chose the  0-6 month size. What is important to remember is all babies grow at different paces. Usually my kids feet grow slower. I also believe that theses can run a tad large, so keep that in mind. Aria is 9 months but still has room in these adorable little shoes. Which is great because not only is she crawling, and walking around in her walker.. she is now pulling herself up onto her knees and even feet!! Much faster pace than my other two that is for sure.

You do need a good pair of shoes for early walking days. Some soft sole shoes just are not good for that because they slip. The bottom of these are a suede material so it grips really well. Think of those "grippy socks".

Along with the style I chose, there are many, many more styles for both girls, and BOYS!

These shoes are made of soft and breathable leather and they have a no-slip, suede bottom for early to late walkers. They are just so adorable too!

The elastic band makes them easy to put on and STAY on! I usually have problems with shoes around this time because babies don't stay in socks and shoes. Not with these babies! She can't get them off, and they don't fall off. Yet she has room to grow. It's a win-win for everyone. What is more, they are so stinkin' cute!

She didn't even care that she had shoes on after a while.

  • Uppers are made from ventilated, soft premium grade leather. They provide a breathable space that keeps your baby's feet cool and dry.
  • Elastic ankle ensures the shoe stays on the foot.
  • Non-slip soft suede leather sole prevents any unexpected slips.
  • Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

Momo Baby also carries a large variety of other items. From maternity, feeding items, shoes, and bedding!! Definitely worth a look.

Make sure you take the time to visit Momo Baby. These shoes are only $19!

Stay tuned for our giveaway as well!! There will be some great items up for grabs for mom and baby!

Build-A-Bear Pink Hearts Hello Kitty Review #ad

A complimentary product was received to facilitate a post for Build-A-Bear. All thoughts are my own.

Build-A-Bear Pink Hearts Hello Kitty

Build-A-Bear Workshop is an excellent place to bring your child for one on one time. My daughter and I enjoy going there on our mommy and me dates.  If you enjoy stuffed animals and all the joy that a new friend can bring, then Build-A-Bear is perfect for you. My children love going to the Workshop and seeing the wide variety of friends that they can help bring to life. The hardest part is always choosing what one to take home.

I wanted to surprise my oldest daughter with a stuffy she has wanted for a while. A PINK Hello Kitty. The Pink Hearts Hello Kitty is perfect for Valentines day too. Sure, she did get her early, but I knew that it would be important to share prior to the holiday. Plus, she didn't mind that at all. Once she opened up the adorable box and saw what was inside, she screamed. Quite literally actually. The sound of Hello Kitty was ringing in my ears.

She didn't have the chance to stuff her Hello Kitty herself, but I assured her that it was taken care of by the best people at Build-A-Bear.

Princess Twilight Sparkle is also from Build-A-Bear.

The Pink Hearts Hello Kitty is available separate from it's accessories for just $23.00. The optional Pink Party Dress is $10.50.

What girl doesn't want a pair of sequin flats? You can also get those at Build-A-Bear for $7.50.

My daughter loves her new friend, and we will always pick Build-A-Bear for our "mommy" time.  With three children, it's not always easy to spend equal amount of time. Especially since she is in school. I am so glad that we have something that we can both enjoy doing. That also isn't too time consuming.

Hello Kitty not your thing? Don't worry. Don't forget about their other great Stuffed friends for Valentines day!

You can connect with Build-A-Bear for special discounts and coupons too!

So Sew Mama receives products for review purposes. We were sent the Pink Hearts Hello Kitty and accessories to facilitate this review post. All thoughts are my own.

Life, Love, and Family. Making a better 2014!

Life, Love, and Family. Taking it one day at a time in 2014!

Hey everyone, Desiree here. I know that I have been a bad blogger lately. Please accept my sincerest apologies on that one. We have been dealing with a lot of stuff.  Trust me. It has not been a walk in the park. The good news is the husband is well on his way to a new career. Yes! I'm hoping we get out of this rain cloud soon.

Did I mention how bad I am with money? I do not spend it, but I can't save it either. Where does it all go? Honestly we buy the necessities in life and not much more. I make my shampoo last several more months than it probably should. It all comes down to the cost of living. It is too damn high! Food is a huge money sucker upper! Am I wrong? Maybe I am not doing it right, but like I said, I really stink at that. Oh well, I think I get better at this mom stuff every year, and every kid. Hopefully that means I will get better at life in general soon too.

On to other excuses things. I am depressed. I know, I am sorry to drop that huge bomb on you out of the blue. But it is true. I have major depression and it is not getting much better. Depression, something about that word has always made me feel ashamed and even dirty. Like it was some horrible thing that another person could catch. So ashamed in fact that I have gone that last few years without uttering a word about how I feel inside. And then one day, my walls came down and I just had to cry. I cried so much that day. I rarely cry anymore. I guess holding it all in and not speaking about how I feel really took its toll on my mental health. Tonight, another night of spilling my guts out. Thinking about it gives me anxiety. I don't hide it well anymore. I know my kids can see. I have given up on myself. The world can see that. My house is either clean or an utter mess. Some days I am dressed up, makeup all done, and the next I am just in sweats and a pony tail. If some things are done well, others are seriously lacking. Everything around me is just as I feel inside. Which means that the world sees me. I rather just hide.

I didn't make any New Years Resolutions for 2014. But I do have some goals right now for our life and family.
  • 1. To try and be happy. It should be that easy, I know. I really wish that it was. I love my children and everyone that is in my life. None of that fake stuff.
  • 2. To get out of my comfort zone and do more. I need to give myself room to grow. If you put a plant in a small jar, it is never going to show it's full potential. Why do I do this to myself? I need to get out and do more for my mind, body and soul. Bring the kids to the park, to Chuck 'E' Cheese, any where but here.
  • 3. Do more for my body! I say it all of the time. "I wish I was as fat as I was when I first thought I was fat." I gained way too much with my first child, it just stuck to me. I need to lose 60bs to be in the "okay" range for my height. That just makes me want to eat cake. Chocolate cake. mmm. Did I mention I am an emotional eater? Not a good combination.
  • 4. Get more out of blogging. My blog was a great outlet for how I felt and my thoughts once upon a time. It helped with my depression and gave me a bit of social interaction. I created some great friendships too. Then, I fell off the face of the planet. Don't worry, I did this in real life too. Whoops. It wasn't intentional, I promise. I just couldn't handle much of life anymore. But I am coming back to planet Earth. I want to rejoin the species. Ah. It wont be easy.
  • 5. Enjoy each and every day with my kids. Make everyday unique and matter more. No more rushing for them to get ready, to put their gloves and hats on. No more being in such a hurry that I miss the moments that matter most, those moments that I can never get back. No More of getting frustrated so easily. They grow up so fast. I feel like I have been half asleep or most of it. It saddens me so much that I have been sad almost everyday of their life. And it was my fault for not realizing the impact. No more of it. Okay, it isn't so easy. But I will try.

We did have some incredible moments in 2013, but I will be damned if I don't make 2014 the most exciting year yet!

I did officially Marry the love of my life in 2013! Feel free to browse those incredible photos below.
Our wedding was gorgeous. It was held at lake Pearl Lucianos in MA.

Sorry for all the pictures. I just had to share the good memories. I can't believe it took us 8 years to finally tie the knot! Sure, we did it all backwards. Our love story is far from ordinary in itself. Normal people wouldn't have met how we did. So in an odd way, this worked for us. We have a home, a family and now I have his last name. I can't wait to enjoy each and every day as a Mrs.!

Yummi pouch review

I received the following products for free to review.

We love baby food pouches. Before i heard of reusable pouches we had used the disposable ones. Which are extremely wasteful, and cost way too much. One of the first brands of reusable pouches that I heard of was the Yummi Pouch! So of course, I was super excited to get the chance to review for them. They sent us the Little Munchkin set for review.

Which included some really cute stickers and a funnel pitcher!

As I have stated in the past, these are not the first food pouches I have used. These are however a bit different. The spout is actually on the side of these pouches. They also stand up when expanded. As well as fill through the top. Which is also a great feature. The yummi pouch is a product that gives you all of the convenience of the baby food pouches plus all the added benefits of being cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and healthier since you can fill them with your own, home-made purees.

  • It is completely reusable, recyclable, and green.
  • Freezer and Dishwasher safe
  • BPA, Phthalate and PVC Free
  • It has an extra wide cap which makes it ideal for little hands.
  • It has a specially designed bottom that allows the pouch to stand up while you fill it.
  • Extra wide mouth for filling, and a reinforced zipper to keep it from opening!
  • It has a 6oz fill line which helps for portion control and leaves room for expanding in the freezer
  • It has clearly marked lines on the back where you can write the date and contents (which then wash off when you’re done!)
  • The spout is sturdy and will stand up to those teething, chewing babies!

The Yummi Pouch is easy to use and simple for small children. They do not require too much pressure to get the contents out. The plastic is also extremely durable. They are purely leak proof too! Yummi Pouch makes so many great accessories to use with the pouches, from color-coded caps to a special tool that makes filling them a breeze! Food pouches are super convenient too.

Yummi Pouch reusable food pouches encourage healthy snacks for active kids. Our eco-friendly food pouches are freezer safe, dishwasher safe, BPA-free, Phthalate-free, and can be filled with healthy blended snacks and easily taken on-the-go, no spoon required!
Our vision is to help moms and dads prepare healthy snacks for their active kids. Yummi Pouches are perfect to be filled with nutritious smoothies and purees prepared in batches, frozen or refrigerated, and easily consumed on-the-go. Yummi Pouches are ideal for moms who make homemade baby food, as well as kids who enjoy taking yogurt and applesauce to school.

It is also larger than many other food pouches.

You can use reusable pouches for several things. As well as for school lunches. They also make great water bottles!

The funnel pitcher does make filling these a breeze! I love this thing!

My daughter also had a lot of fun helping me put everything together, as well as stickers!

The Yummi Pouch retails for $14.99 for a pack of 6. Which divides out to  almost $2.50 a pouch!

We enjoyed using the Yummi Pouch, and I plan to use them to make delicious smoothies, and yogurt for my daughters school lunch. I can really see these lasting us for years! Yes, they are really that good!

What would you use your Yummi Pouches for?

The ZAZOO Photo Clock

I received the following product free for review. All opinions are my own.

Alright, I hear all these stories of kids staying in bed until 9 or later. (younger kids meaning) I am going to call it, bs. :-)
My kids I guess, have done this once in a blue moon. But on a normal day, when pigs don't fly, they wake up at 5:00 am. Of course the baby wakes earlier to nurse. But that is fine. What I seriously hate is being yelled at by my 4 and 5 year old to wake up before the sun is out. Or, to them yelling at each other so early. I think that may be worse.
So I found this picture. It explains one of the many reasons children may wake up. :-) lol

Am I a bad parent for wanting some sleep? I don't think so. Especially since I can never fall asleep before 11-12 at night. Don't know why. It could be because Aria would wake up to nurse around 10-11 pm to nurse most nights. But in any case, I just want them to learn when to sleep and went it is time to wake up.

I don’t think anyone was more excited to set up the ZAZOO Photo Clock than I was. I mean seriously? They were pretty darn excited. But trust me. I was jumping for joy in my mind over this thing. Hoping and praying it would help at least my oldest.

How does it work?

First you should make sure your time is right. Ours was off by an hour.
Than you go to the settings screen and carry on to pick the "wake up time" for your child, and of course the "bed time".

Since this clock will be in my older daughters room, and she is learning to read, I wanted to use the words.

The daytime picture is a cute sun with Dd for daytime. As well as the Nn for night time, with a little sun image. You can choose from several other pictures as well.

I also wanted to choose a cute little song for her to wake up to. Alyssa seriously loves the song too. Even when she is up before it. She wants to hear it every morning.

Sure, she gets it. But will she learn to follow by it? Hopefully, because school starts in 2 weeks! I seriously need the sleep just as much as her!

The ZAZOO Kids Photo Clock has cool additional features. It can also be used as a digital photo frame. Where you can use your computer or memory stick to upload even more images. I plan to do this soon for her. Because I know she would really love that. This is also a great tool for babies to get to remember faces. Their auntie moved to Indiana recently. Which is a 13 hour drive. So we wont get to see her very much for a long time. There is Skype of course! But pictures are great too. It helps with the transition.

This Photo Clock comes with many images and songs that you can use for your kids. You can even upload your own music! My daughter enjoys this, because she can listen to "Kiss The Girl" over and over again.

It is a durable photo frame, that I can already tell will last them for years. I kind of wish that the "theme" would be interchangeable. Like different skins you can put on and take off. Not only would it make the clock last even for teens, but it would be pretty fun too!

Buy it now!

If you are like me, and use creams and concealer to hide those dark circles under your eyes. Rest assured that this clock will definitely help teach your child when it is bed time and wake up time. Is it a magic fix? No, of course not! Every child is different. They wake up for a variety of reasons. But it is also important for them to learn proper sleep patterns for every day life. Nobody wants to live with a sleep deprived toddler or preschooler. Trust me, I do. It is not fun. The ZAZOO Photo Clock is available in five different patterns for $89.99. We love that you can personalize the ZAZOO by downloading a good morning or good night alarm with your child’s name. There are even holiday greetings.

I received a free product in exchange for my honest review. This does not affect my opinion on the product. All views are my own.

Stickr Message board review! @Butchandharold

We had the opportunity to review the Stickr message board from Butch and Harold free. The message board is great for parents, and kids! The packaging was really simple. Which is wonderful.

Alyssa has been using it to practice writing. You can even use it for chores! Woop woop! Just write,  and wipe away!
It comes with a erasable marker and a sticker marker rest. Which I have to say, I just could not figure out, or get to stay. So that was a dud. Bummer. But on the plus side, I have to keep the markers away from baby any how.

It is super easy to put on your wall. Just be careful when removing the backing on the stickr. The corners can be tricky.
The message board is 15" x 20". Plenty big enough for whatever your heart desires. The reflective board is really neat. However, it can be hard to read at a distance. Since it reflects. Which is a huge con for some.
On the plus side, you can use it as a mirror too!

I'm sure the other products available would be just as fun, if not more. They have some adorable stickr picture frames!

I was not compensated for this post. I received a review sample from Celebrity Baby Trend ExpertRachel Florio-Urso. Regardless I only recommend products I would use. All views are 100% my own.

Road Trip with @Ubooly! #UboolyRoadTrip

You are reading a sponsored post.

A while back we had the opportunity to review the Ubooly smart toy. It has become a big hit in our home. Almost like a new family member. It is amazing how much Alyssa has bonded with her. So obviously, when we took our family trip we just had to take her along with us! Ubooly has an awesome Road Trip pack that can be downloaded in the Ubooly Lab. What better way to spend countless hours cooped in a vehicle?

Ubooly's Road Trip pack allows you to pass the miles by providing hours of engaging, fun & educational games! This pack includes riddles, stories, games and jokes that will make the car ride fun for the whole family. Challenging out-the-window scavenger hunts & guessing games that will keep your kids occupied for miles. This pack is designed to make your next road trip more enjoyable by entertaining your kids as you travel on your way!

We packed up the kids and went off on our adventure. It was a long one! 3 kids and 1 Ubooly is not good though. My son wanted his turn. Which is why I also brought LeapPads, to help them "share" time with Ubooly.

When you first  log into Ubooly on your phone or iPod, you will see a bright blue screen.

Enter the name of your child (or choose from the list).

Feel free to use Ubooly in his "box" or in the adorable fluffy stuffie!

The Road Trip Pack can be used by clicking the journal on the bottom of the screen.

Just click the appropriate pack and have a blast! There are plenty of activities to keep the kids busy for hours on end!

Oh yes! She is pink! We need the pink Ubooly. Alyssa has already made it so the one on screen is pink. She is definitely oink obsessed.

While the kids napped in the back, Ubooly came up front to keep us company. I must say, she really seemed to love the dashboard.
Ubooly has such a HUGE personality. The kids had so much fun singing songs, playing games, scavenger hunts, and even more!

You can connect with Ubooly on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram!
